Unique Georgia Tech research programs for graduate students


The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program is a transformative approach to enhancing higher education by engaging undergraduate and graduate students in ambitious, long-term, large-scale, multidisciplinary project teams led by faculty.

TI:GER® (Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results) is a three-semester immersive track in Strategy and Innovation. Georgia Tech’s Scheller College MBA students work with Ph.D. candidates from Georgia Tech’s engineering, computing, and science colleges to translate ideas into successful technology innovations. TI:GER is the educational program for Creative Destruction Lab Atlanta, a global mentoring program for massively-scalable science-based startups. The TI:GER program’s curriculum prepares Georgia Tech MBA and Ph.D. students to work with CDL-Atlanta ventures.  

Graduate research assistants (GRAs) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) are enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program at Georgia Tech and participate in more advanced research projects on the cutting edge of technology.
