Convergence Innovation Competition Shifting to Virtual Format

people

This semester’s Convergence Innovation Competition will shift to a virtual format for spring 2020 out of an abundance of caution, and to accommodate Georgia Tech’s transition to remote learning.

Teams will submit a demonstration video, which shows the value of their solution. Judges will then review the videos and score the projects at their own pace. The dates for the competition have shifted to allow teams additional time to update their video entries.

Students must submit competition entries by Sunday, April 5, at midnight. Judges will evaluate submissions from April 6-13, and we’ll announce winners via live stream on Wednesday, April 15.

The categories for this semester’s CIC are Climate Solutions, Create and Perform, and Health on the Move. Students can find details on each category on the CIC website. With the change in format, we will also give special recognition to teams that directly address COVID-19 precautions, response, mitigations, or adaptations. If you have a question about the competition, including how to best pitch your idea in one of the categories, send an email to RNOC.

Best of luck to all of the participants, and thanks to all of our judges.
