Explore Georgia Tech agile health research projects and startup concepts alongside the GVU Center Research Showcase from 2-5 pm in the Technology Square Research Building. The showcase, co-sponsored by the Digital Media Graduate Program, invites you to experience research in people-centered technology that enhances our communities and impacts how we live day-to-day. More than 100 interactive projects will let you touch, control, and imagine what technology will enable in the future.

4:30 p.m. - Book Launch and Signing: All Data Are Local by Yanni Alexander Loukissas

The Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) is excited to host a celebration of the forthcoming book All Data Are Local: Thinking Critically in a Data-Driven Society (MIT Press, 2019) by Yanni Alexander Loukissas, author and assistant professor of Digital Media in the Georgia Tech School of Literature, Media, and Communication. Set for release on April 23, the book examines how to analyze data settings rather than data sets, acknowledging the meaning-making power of the local.
