"Georgia Tech is one of a handful of pre-eminent research universities that is equally focused on outstanding scholarship and on facilitating economic and societal benefits from its research. This is evident through our commitment to providing outstanding support to partners, with convenient access to world-class facilities, expertise, and students."
As the executive vice president for research, Steve Cross is the Institute’s chief research officer.
He leads the development of Georgia Tech’s one-of-a-kind innovation ecosystem, which brings together education, research, government, and industry in ways once considered impossible. This includes the creation of tailored industry collaborations that help companies achieve their short and long term goals.
Cross also works closely with Georgia Tech’s colleges, faculty, and research units, and provides leadership for all research, economic development, and related support units within the Institute.
